Emergency maintenance: brief downtime
A serious security vulnerability in Linux, the operating system our servers run on, was disclosed today. It's known as GhostLock (CVE-2026-43499) and could in theory let someone with limited access to a server gain full administrator rights.
There's no indication it has been exploited on our systems. But given the potential impact, we're not taking chances: tonight we'll install a security update as emergency maintenance.
